第5回 水環境若手研究者ネットワーク科学セミナー（WEYN 2026）を開催/ 5th Scientific Seminar on Water Environment for Young Researchers’ Network (WEYN 2026) Held
2026年9月7日、「第5回 水環境若手研究者ネットワーク科学セミナー」（5th Scientific Seminar on Water Environment for Young Researchers’ Network: WEYN 2026）がハノイ工科大学で開催されました。当プロジェクトでは、研究開発に加え、日本とベトナムの研究者・学生の交流を促進し、将来の持続的な共同研究を担う人材育成も重視しています。今回のWEYN 2026は、こうした人材育成・研究ネットワーク形成にもつながる活動の一つです。
WEYNは、若手研究者が主体となって企画・運営する国際的な研究交流の取り組みで、次世代の研究者が国際的な視点を持って研究活動に取り組むための交流の場として立ち上げられました。本セミナーは長岡技術科学大学と山梨大学を中心に若手研究者が主体となって企画・運営しており、これまでに4回開催されています。
本セミナーは、INBERBONプロジェクトで成果4を担当する長岡技術科学大学の渡利高大准教授らが中心となって企画・運営しました。渡利准教授は、これまでのWEYNの活動が評価され、日本水環境学会より「水環境国際活動賞（いであ活動賞）」を授与されています。参考：https://www.nagaokaut.ac.jp/news/announcement/20260323_4525.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com
セミナーには、当プロジェクトからプロジェクトチーフアドバイザーの山口隆司長岡技術科学大学教授と同大学の渡利准教授、ハノイ工科大学のNguyen Lan Huong准教授、同大学のTran Phuong Thao講師らが参加しました。本セミナーには長岡技術科学大学の他、山梨大学、大分工業高等専門学校、鹿児島工業高等専門学校などの日本の大学・工業高等専門学校から約35名、ハノイ工科大学から約20名の教員・学生が参加し、ネットワーキングセッションやポスターセッションを通じて交流を深めました。
ポスターセッションでは40件の研究発表が行われ、水環境・環境工学に関する研究成果の共有と活発な意見交換が行われました。参加した学生・研究者にとっては、自らの研究を国際的な場で発表し、異なる研究分野や国・地域の研究者から意見を得る貴重な機会となりました。また、日越双方の学生が交流することで、将来的な共同研究や研究留学などにつながる人的ネットワークの形成が期待されます。
INBERBONプロジェクトでは、タンパク質フリー天然ゴムの研究開発に加え、こうした研究交流・人材育成の機会を通じて、次世代の研究者育成と日越間の研究ネットワーク強化にも取り組んでいます。今回のWEYN2026は、その一環として、両国の研究者・学生が互いに学びあい、将来の国際共同研究へと発展していくための重要な交流の場となりました。今後もこうした研究交流・人材育成を通じて、日越間の研究ネットワークを広げ、プロジェクト終了後も継続する研究協力の基盤づくりを進めていきます。
On September 7, 2026, the 5th Scientific Seminar on Water Environment for Young Researchers’ Network (WEYN 2026) was held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).
In addition to research and development, the INBERBON Project places importance on human resource development and strengthening research networks between Japan and Vietnam. WEYN 2026 was one of the activities contributing to these goals.
WEYN is an international research exchange initiative organized mainly by young researchers from Nagaoka University of Technology and University of Yamanashi. The seminar was organized mainly by Assoc. Prof. Takahiro Watari of Nagaoka University of Technology, who is in charge of Activity 4 of the INBERBON Project. His contributions to the WEYN activities were recognized by the Japan Society on Water Environment, which awarded him.
The seminar was attended by Professor Takashi Yamaguchi, Chief Advisor of the INBERBON Project, Associate Professor Watari, Associate Professor Nguyen Lan Huong and Lecturer Tran Phuong Thao of HUST, as well as approximately 35 participants from Japanese universities and National Institutes of Technology and approximately 20 faculty members and students from HUST.
A total of 40 research presentations were given during the poster session, providing opportunities for participants to share their research and exchange ideas across different fields and countries. The networking activities also helped foster connections among Japanese and Vietnamese researchers and students, which may lead to future joint research and study-abroad opportunities.
Through activities such as WEYN, the INBERBON Project aims to contribute not only to research and development of protein-free natural rubber, but also to the development of the next generation of researchers and the strengthening of research collaboration between Japan and Vietnam.
