The SATREPS Project is an international collaborative research program that promotes scientific and technological cooperation between Japan and developing countries. The program aims to address global challenges, create innovative technologies, and foster the next generation of researchers who will lead future sustainability efforts.
Within this framework, in August 2025, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, a master’s student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), has been conducting research on environmentally friendly rubber waste recycling and microbial degradation. He will continue his studies as a long-term international research fellow at Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT).
At HUST, Mr. Hung achieved outstanding results in optimizing high-density cultivation and fermentation conditions. His work earned him the First Prize for a poster presentation at the Students Scientific Research Conference, recognizing his excellent research achievements and dedication.
Going forward, Mr. Hung aims to apply the knowledge and techniques acquired at NUT to contribute to scientific collaboration and sustainable development between Vietnam and Japan. Through his research and actions, he hopes to strengthen the connection between the two countries and advance their shared goals toward a sustainable and circular economy.
