2025年12月1日から3日、タイ・バンコクで開催された International Rubber Conference （IRC） 2025において、ハノイ工科大学から長岡技術科学大学に留学中でINBERBONプロジェクトの研究メンバーである Nguyen Ba Lamさん が、学生口頭発表部門の最優秀賞（First Prize） を受賞しました。世界的に権威ある国際会議での受賞は、非常に意義のある大きな成果です。
IRCは、ゴム科学・ゴム技術分野において世界トップクラスの国際会議として知られており、ゴム分野では世界最大級の国際会議です。今年の会議には18か国から385名が参加しました。INBERBONプロジェクトからは、長岡技術科学大学の河原成元教授、東京工業高等専門学校の山本祥正准教授、ハノイ工科大学のPhan Trung Nghia准教授も参加しました。
今回のLamさんの最優秀賞受賞は、Lamさん自身の優れた研究成果が国際的に高く評価された結果であるとともに、INBERBONプロジェクト全体にとっても重要な成果となりました。

From December 1 to 3, 2025, International Rubber Conference 2025 (IRC2025) was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Nguyen Ba Lam, a research member of the INBERBON Project and an exchange student from Hanoi University of Science and Technology to Nagaoka University of Technology, was awarded the First Prize in the Student Presentation Category. Receiving this award at such a prestigious international conference represents a highly significant achievement.
IRC is recognized as one of the world’s leading international conferences in the fields of rubber science and rubber technology, and is among the largest conferences in the rubber community worldwide. This year’s conference attracted more than 385 participants from 18 countries.
Researchers from the INBERBON Project—including Prof. Seiichi Kawahara (Nagaoka University of Technology), Assoc Prof. Yoshimasa Yamamoto (National Institute of Technology, Tokyo College), and Assoc Prof. Phan Trung Nghia (Hanoi University of Science and Technology)—also participated in the conference.
Lam’s receipt of the First Prize reflects the international recognition of his outstanding research achievements, and at the same time represents a major accomplishment for the INBERBON Project as a whole. This award clearly demonstrates the project’s high research standards and strong international competitiveness.
