On the afternoon of 19th December 2024, the 3rd HUST-NUT Joint Symposium & Opening Ceremony of Japan was held at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with the first half of the event consisting of two ceremonies attended by the presidents of both universities and chief representative of JICA Vietnam office, and the second half featuring presentations by researchers.
At the first ceremony, a medal was presented to Nagaoka University of Technology Professor Emeritus Masao Fukuda in recognition of his services to education, which was awarded to him by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training in May 2024. The ceremony was held to honour his many years of contribution to both Japanese and Vietnamese universities, and to express gratitude for his achievements.
Secondly, the test plant from the previous project, which had been refurbished, was reborn as the ‘Japan Corner’, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other events were held to mark its opening.
In the second half of the event, the project managers from both Japanese and Vietnamese universities gave presentations on the results of their work, and students gave 27 poster presentations, and many people attended.
In total, nearly 70 people attended the JCC in the morning and the ceremony and symposium in the afternoon, and many of them commented on the importance of face-to-face dialogue. We hope that the teachers and other people involved will continue to visit Hanoi University of Science and Technology frequently in the future.
第3回HUST-NUT Joint Symposium & Opening Ceremony of Japanが開催されました
2024年12月19日午後、ハノイ工科大において第3回HUST-NUT Joint Symposium & Opening Ceremony of Japanが開催され、前半は両大学の学長及びJICAベトナム事務所所長にもご参加いただいた二つのセレモニーと、後半には研究者による発表が行われました。
一つ目のセレモニーにおいては、長岡技術科学大学の福田雅夫特任教授に対し、2024年5月にベトナム教育訓練省より授与された『教育功労章』のメダルの授与式が開催されました。長年の日越両大学に対するご貢献に対し、その功績をたたえ感謝が示されました。
二つ目は、改修を終えた前プロジェクトのテストプラントが新たに「Japan Corner」として生まれ変わり、リボンカットなどその開所式が併せて開催されました。
後半には日越両大学のプロジェクトマネージャーによる成果発表と、学生による27枚のポスター発表があり、多くの方にご参加いただきました。
今回、午前中のJCC及び午後のセレモニーとシンポジウを通して、約70名近い人数が参加したことになりますが、多くの方より直接向かい合って対話することの重要性について意見があがっており、先生方をはじめ、関係者の皆様には今後も足繁くハノイ工科大にお運びいただければと期待しております。
