JST Sakura Science Exchange Program Delegation Visits Rubber Science Center at Hanoi University of Science and Technology/ JSTさくらサイエンスプログラム推進本部がハノイ工科大学ゴム科学技術センターを視察

On May 30, 2025, a delegation from the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) Sakura Science Program Headquarters—including Deputy Director General Mr. ITO Sotaro, Dr. SHAN Gu, and Ms. NISHIBAYSHI Kanako—visited the Center for Rubber and Technology located at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).

During the visit, the delegation was guided through the research facilities by Assoc. Prof. Phan Trung Nghia, the project manager. They observed ongoing experiments conducted by students, and showed great interest in the students’ enthusiastic research efforts.

On the same day, an informational session was held for faculty members of HUST, during which an overview of JST's activities and the Sakura Science Exchange Program was presented. The session fostered active discussions among participants about future collaboration and exchange opportunities through the program, making it a valuable occasion for academic exchange.

This visit is expected to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between Japan and Vietnam in the field of science and technology, and contribute to the development of a solid foundation for nurturing the next generation of researchers.

　2025年5月30日、科学技術振興機構（JST）さくらサイエンスプログラム推進本部より、伊藤宗太郎副本部長、単谷調査役、西林加奈子氏の3名が、ハノイ工科大学内のゴム科学技術センターを訪問・見学されました。センターでは、プロジェクトマネージャーを務めるPhan Trung Nghia准教授の案内のもと研究施設の見学が行われ、学生たちが取り組む実験の様子をご覧いただきました。JSTの訪問者は、学生たちの熱意ある取り組みに深い関心を寄せられました。

　また、同日にはハノイ工科大学の教職員を対象とした説明会も開催され、JSTの活動概要および「さくらサイエンスプログラム」について紹介が行われました。プログラムを通じた将来的な連携や交流の可能性について、参加者間で活発な意見交換がなされ、有意義な交流の場となりました。

　今回の視察を通じて、科学技術分野における日越の協力関係がさらに深まり、次世代を担う研究者育成の基盤強化につながることが期待されます。
